Super fast page with PML cards

sept-2-pages-page-007
This is the first time I've used Picture My Life (PML)cards.  I saw beautiful pages made with them at the US Convention but today I wanted something quick and easy to share with you.

Each of the 13 CTMH Picture My Life collections include 44 double sided 4"x6" cards; 78 double sided 3"x4" cards; 1 Designed cover sheet and 10 Memory Protectors.  This is a sample of the cards in the Chantilly PML kit (Z1949).

PML cards are designed to be used for pocket style scrapbooking but in today's post I've us…

Colouring in is so much fun!

I have always joked that my teaching degree was a Diploma in cutting and colouring.  I studied in the pre-computer age and majored in early childhood education so I made a LOT of charts in my day.  I LOVED it and always found colouring so restful.  It's good to know some things don't change.  With the introduction of the Shin Han Touch Twin Markers this month I can get my colouring fix once again. What a Hoot SOTM & Shin Han Markers The markers come in 24 colours, feature a fine tip and a chisel tip on each pen and are blendable.…

Goofy's Orchestra

Whilst visiting California Adventure we came across Goofy conducting an imaginary orchestra.  He was very funny and then I realised the fountains behind him were synchronised with the music.  Very cool.  I just had to dedicate a page to his antics. Goofy's Orchestra This layout is based on one called, appropriately, "Performance".  You will find it on p48 of the CTMH Magic How To book. (9040) The papers are this month's featured collection - Paper Fundamentals and these colours come from the Adventure Assortment…

Warm Fuzzies Door Hanger

sept-2-pages-page-007
Have you ever read or heard the story of 'Warm Fuzzies'?  When I was a teacher I would read this story to my class and have everyone decorate a paper bag with pictures & words relating to their personality.  Througout the day, other students would write a small note of encouragement or affirmation and secretly slip it into the bag. This was a "Warm Fuzzy".  You should have seen the delight on their faces when their bag had a warm fuzzy in it.  The kids would go out of their way to see good thing…

Artistic Adventure Begins

sept-2-pages-page-007
It was so exciting to be part of the North American CTMH Convention in June.  The stage looked gorgeous and changed each day.  Mandy & I were able to have a quick photo on it the first day.  I wanted a simple layout for these photos as it marks the beginning of the Convention chapter in my album.

Artistic Adventure

The focus is on the Paper Fundamentals range in all my classes this month and this page features the Adventure Assortment (Z2032) of these papers.  I just love the happy colours in it and chose Lagoon, H…

Inspiring Cards

sept-2-pages-page-007
Today's post features some beautiful cards made by my team members and colleagues for last weekends product launch.  They are sure to get your creative juices flowing.  I'm on a mission to encourage more people to create and mail handmade cards 'Just Because' they can.  We only receive dreary bills and statements in our letterboxes these days.  Let's brighten someone else's day by writing a card and posting.  I'd love to hear how your friends and family react when they receive them.

These lovely creations are by team member, Sharon Hawton, and feature the Brushed Collection These lovely…

Big Kids

Our USA convention for Close To My Heart was held in Disneyland, California.  A good friend and sister consultant, Mandy Ellery, travelled with me for the event.  We added some time either side for fun.  This page shows how brave we were going on the Tea Cups ride in Fantasyland.  Neither of us like scary rides so we decided to be big kids and do all the tame rides. Big Kids The newly released Paper Fundamentals are proving the perfect accompaniment for these photos.  Their bright, shiny side adds some …

When is an owl not an owl?

When it's a cat!

This clever idea is one shared by a fellow consultant, Doris Taylor, at a recent consultant crop day.  Having a tendency to crazy cat lady behaviours myself, I couldn't resist making up a couple for this card.  I plan to send it to a lady I have recently met - I know we are going to become firm friends.

Wonderful Washi

sept-2-pages-page-007
Lots of you are aware, but just in case you didn't know... I LOVE Washi Tape.

Not sure what Washi Tape is?

Washi tape originates from Japan, it's made of paper, but is not as delicate as you would expect.  It comes in a variety of patterns and designs in either 1/2" or 1" widths. The designs feature coloured and opaque segments so the colour of the surface you put it on will show through the opaque sections.  It features a low tack adhesive, making it repositionable and will stick to most surface…
