I like to offer small, thoughtful acknowledgements to the staff of my mum's aged care facility.  They work for a low wage and put up with a lot from residents and families.  My mum is loved and very well cared for where she is and the staff deserve to know they are appreciated.  Valentine's Day is a good excuse to give them a card each.
