White Pines - Trim the Tree
If you are a regular reader of this blog, you know I LOVE Flip Flaps! Today I have a super cute way to display photos of some of the decorations you use at Christmas time.
All the Flip Flaps come from the Small Assortment pack (Z1747). They are attached to the OUTSIDE of the page protector. Begin at the bottom and work your way up. I found the easiest way to do this was to place the empty page protector…

Make It From Your Heart
I attended Close To My Heart's annual convention last weekend. It was such a happy and information packed weekend. I'll share highlights over the coming weeks but today I wanted to show you the prize winning layout made!
All consultants attending the event were invited to enter this page layout contest. Our brief was to use products from our current range and include the phrase "Make it from your heart" in the title.

Sangria - The back story to a photo
As always with old photos, there is a back story not immediately obvious on first viewing of the photo. When I found the photo on the left hand page I just thought it was a happy family snap of mum's relatives and then I realised the significance of it. This was the last photo taken before mum embarked on a full day's journey to join dad in New Guinea. She must have been filled with mixed emotions leaving Melbourne for the first time to go to some wild place! She really was the adventurous o…

Sangria - Perfect for Black & White photos
I've been working with more of Mum & Dad's old photos recently. I can't believe how gorgeous they look with the Sangria papers.
This is my take one of the layouts I taught at yesterday's Scrap Happy Class. It's a great layout for old photos because I didn't have to crop them - the background tells us so much about where we lived at the time. The layout also provides LOTS of room for journalling.
These photos were taken in Wau, New Guinea. I have not had an opportunity to visit again since leavin…

Sangria - Workshop on the Go
Sangria is our featured collection throughout October. That means you can see lots of layouts, cards and paper crafting on social media. I'll feature several projects here throughout the month and you can also view lots of great ideas on the official Close To My Heart Blog, Facebook page and Instagram, @ctmhofficial . Search Pinterest and Instagram using 'ctmhsangria'
Today's page layout was made using the Sangria Workshop on the Go (G1097). It's clean and classic and was quick to put together…

Instalife - Instant Album
I can't believe how quickly this little album comes together. Close To My Heart has two new mini albums called Instalife albums - the perfect place for all those photos we upload to Instagram... but you don't have to use Instagram to enjoy creating one of these albums.
To begin, choose which fun cover you like best...
Next choose your Instalife cards. There are 10 - 4"x4" Printed cards, 6 - 4"x4" Die Cut cards, 30 - 2"x2" Printed carfs and 10…

Best Day - Zoe Workshop on the Go
I love this layout from the Zoe Workshop on the Go. It provides a big canvas for photo placement. The layout comes from the Magic How To Book (9040). It's called One Way Mirror.
These photos were taken when we were in Hawaii for the Close To My Heart Incentive Trip. 80 of us took a sunset cruise and got to watch the lights come on in Waikiki. Everything had a lovely pink glow. When we looked out the other side of the boat, the sun was putting on a show for us.

National Stamping Month Paper Picnic
We celebrated National Stamping Month along with the launch of the CTMH Annual Inspirations and Holiday Expressions catalogues last Saturday. Our event was a Paper Picnic attended by 35 ladies.
A Paper Picnic is a relaxed day spent creating with paper. Some scrapbook , others make cards or create mini albums and gifts. Everyone brought a plate to share for lunch, a bright happy smile and a willingness to try something new.
We began the day making Carborders - one for each of the new paper colle…
