Passionate About Pages
Basketball Artbooking Page
Our household is very excited that the Perth Wildcats won the NBL grand final over the weekend. Kathryn and her boyfriend are members and Mike and I get excited because they are! This page features photos from a game earlier in the season.
It was so much fun to create this page. I simply began with the layout shown on p82 of the Cricut Artbooking instruction book and decided on the colours for each element. I love the way the Artbooking cartridge cuts every element in proportion to all the ot…

My NEW sporting passion
I've never been into sports... all that puffing and 'glowing' just puts me off. Imagine my family's surprise when I told them I was taking up Cricut! They were very encouraging and marvelled at this new interest until I explained, "That's Cricut as in Creative Cutting and not Cricket as in, let's stand in the sun for 6 hours."
I am the first to admit this new 'interest' is fast becoming an 'addiction'.

Try your hand at spraying ink
I took a group of consultants away for a weekend at the end of March. This was a mixture of fun and product training. We tried new techniques and learnt lots from each other about using a range of Close To My Heart products. One product I really enjoyed playing with was the Spray Pens, a pack of 3 is just $5.50.
You simply mix a few drops of re-inker with water in the tube of the pen, screw on the lid and spray some paper. You can vary how fine the mist is by changing the distance away from t…

Free To Be Me
I had a lot of fun making this page using the April/May Exclusive paper pack called Free To Be Me. It was inspired by a layout I saw on Pinterest but that one was very girlie. The strips were all cut 8 inches long. Widths varied from 1/2 inch to 2 inches. Just have fun playing with the arrangement of colours and offset each strip a little. The top and bottom strips were centred across the page.

Is a picture worth a thousand words?
"A picture is worth a thousand words"
You've all heard this oft repeated saying, I'm sure. I agree to a certain extent. A photo showing a sunset often has more impact than a written description. A perfect snap of a newborn babe in his Nanna's arms conveys so many messages without the need for words. But, without the words, each photo is open to a different interpretation by each viewer.

Cash Gifts
Our family LOVE birthdays. We pride ourselves on giving thoughtful gifts and like to go "Off List" at times to surprise the birthday girl or boy. This year my daughter is frantically saving to go volunteering in Uganda for 10 weeks and needs some very boring and very practical gifts like hiking boots. Most people gave her cash towards these purchases. I still wanted it to be a little fun to receive the gift so I made this card for her.

St Patrick's Day
Yesterday was St Patrick's Day and a bit of serendipity saw me scrapbooking a photo from last years St Patrick's Day! I decided a monochromatic colour scheme fit the bill. The chosen colour of course, was green! I love using shades of the one colour on a page - it always makes the elements work together so easily.
I chose Champagne for my background because it is an earthy neutral and it was what we drank on the day! The greens used were Pear, Sweet leaf, New England Ivy and Olive. I am in l…
